About

Diana Carla Rowe (B. 1998) is a Black queer Jamaican-American artist born in Detroit and based in Brooklyn. Working across painting, poetry, and large-scale murals, her practice engages a contemporary dialogue around identity, language, and perception, asserting a deeply personal voice.

Her work blends surrealist automatism with vivid color and expressive form, creating emotionally resonant compositions that explore relationships, growth, failure, and transformation. Rooted in introspection, her paintings reflect the shifting nature of lived experience and the complexities of selfhood.

Rowe has collaborated with brands including HomeGoods, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Revolt TV, and her work is held in private collections such as that of Questlove. Following a recent solo exhibition and residency with Acrylicize in London, she is preparing for a solo exhibition in summer 2026.
